Creeks

Are you a family that loves to get outdoors and explore? Creeks and river locations are perfect for creating that point of difference to your images. This scenery adds layers of texture and dimension with the natural setting, helps to create an earthy element to the photo and of course offers you a documentary approach to photography as there is so much to explore.

*Please note creek sessions are subject to weather.

Samford Village

This beautiful enchanted running creek is lined with rocks and pebbles, as well as fallen trees creating that whimsical vibe. A short walk down a cement and gravel path brings you to the creek bed, where there is ample room to explore and wander in this shaded location. This area is perfect for those wanting the best of both worlds, as this runs along side a field, so for sessions here, we will capture an assortment of images in both areas to give your gallery variety.

*Note: since the 2022 floods the rocks here are a bit more loose than normal, so creek images will be brisk before we conduct the majority of the session upon the field.

Mitchelton

Located in the suburbs this little hidden gem is packed full of potential for a session. This spot for local families to untie after work can provide a scenic backdrop for you and your family to explore the outdoors whilst staying close to home. This location does require a very short trek down a dirt path through some grass and shrubs to reach the creek. As this location is smaller in size, I would be mindful of choosing this location for larger group images.

Highvale

A little hidden oasis in Highvale.

Eatons Hill

Located in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, this creek has a lot to offer. There is a gravel carpark and a brisk walk down to the creek, but not before passing some beautiful trees and an open but always manicured grassy area. There are rocks to climb with the embankment rock walls offering a point of difference, as well as many areas to explore.

Brendale

Now this creek is another gorgeous location however, but whilst the creek and pathway is public property, the fields either side are private property and whilst they have allowed people to enter "at own risk" there are some curious horses present who do often like to come and sneak a peek at the action - so due to this, I DO NOT recommend this location for those with little children who may be tempted to wonder off.

Petrie

This little pocket of tranquil peace I stumbled across many many years ago when the area was fenced off as a huge off leash dog haven. However, since then the site has been escavated, replanted and the creek has been changed to provide easier access. This location is sparse and offers a creek, giant trees and a very green and leafy backdrop with short mown grass.

College Crossing - Ipswich

<CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE CLOSED SINCE 2022 FLOODS>

This gorgeous hidden walk located near Ipswich is a short stroll from a park with public amenities. There is mossy foliage, a small field looking space, as well as this gorgeous creek access. A local hot spot, this location is also suitable for dogs.
